After Van Gogh#1

This is a 10.5x13 inch watercolor. I painted in a hurry and briefly use my left hand to help in some flowers too at the same time as I paint with my right hand. I normally paint with right hand and lately I did one flower painting with left hand and people thought that may be I am a two hand oriented person. So I give my left hand some more practice. I will keep you post on my left hand painting experiment.

Did you feel like a child at play when you painted this? I hope you did because it conveys the feeling of happiness and liveliness! I think of VanGogh's work as sad much of the time, despite his intense color and mastery of the brush. But your rendition speaks of a heart full of love! Beautiful work Ai!

Thank you so much Marta. Yes, I love to paint happiness. Lately I did a few pieces in a more subdue/neutral colors i.e. the chair series, and the piano keys but I think deep down I am for the happy colors. So I intrepret Van Gogh my way, the happy way. He is one of the Masters that I adore.
