Princess Karmela

I can't take my eyes of this little princess. She belongs to a Wetcanvas member. Her photo was used as a referenced photo of this Weekend Drawing Event on Wetcanvas. So here it is a 9x12 inch, mixed media watercolor soft pastel with a few tads of gouache. I had a great fun doing this.

Venice -- Arcobaleno pigmenti

This is a mixed media postcard: watercolor & color pencil & ink. I painted it from the RIL of Katherine T. for Wetcanvas "Dream vacation" exchange project. I would love to spend hours in a cool pigment shop.

Bike shoes

This is a mixed media card: watercolors on the shoes, and acrylic ink on the background. Long time ago, my knee doctor recommended me to try biking to strengthen my knee muscles. I did not bike as much. However, since I found this shoes at the store a few months ago, I wear it during my morning biking more often. I guess, it takes a pair of colorful shoes to inspire me to exercise more.

February in retrospect

This has been a crazy month for me especially career-wise. I built myself the mental block in revising the curriculum. I postponed it until almost the last minute. However, when I actually worked on it; it went well. This had drained me tremendously. At one point I don't even want to touch a computer or even be on the Internet, not even my beloved Wetcanvas. However, things seem clear up since the semester is about to finish in 2 weeks. Apart from work, there are some happy amazing moments.

One morning we saw baby Iris arranged her toys like a real architectural model as seen in the picture. Another weekend, Iris and I got to share a small desk and a set of color pencils. We both tried to draw/paint something. Tone said that it was too cute that he had to snap a photo. Pls. be the judge.

A Walk In the Zoo#3 -- ATC

Well I got a permission from a kind Wetcanvas fellow "Just chaos" to use his flickr animal photos as reference pics. I am amazed of his collection of 7,000 fine photos and his effort to post them. God bless his art energy. So that inspires this mixed media ATC (2.5x3.5), watercolor, pen, watercolor pencils. I think I still have a lot to learn about how to do the water surface.
