Happy Birthday To me -- Request your 40 yr old wisdom

Well I just turned forty year old today. I am now in the last stretch of pregnancy so I did not celebrate any thing much, just bought myself a small bunch of orchids, my DH bought me a Winslow Homer watercolor book. One of my buddy called and my mother also called. I can always counting on her to remember my b-day... ha ha.

In a way, I don't feel old but I feel a bit kind of strange feeling of missing my best 30's but I think I am doing great as is: decent family, friends, finance, career, art, health, and other passion. I hope I get to stay healthy longer on this earth to explore more life adventure and the awaiting unfulfilled personal wishes, which include several painting trips abroad.

Any thought on turning into 40's, pls. kindly leave me your words. Thanks a lot.

Happy Birthday Ai. I am well into my 40's, will be 47 in a couple of months. I must admit 40's don't seem any different to 30's, just keep the same attitude and enjoy your life and your family. Keep well. Have fun.

Happy Birthday!!! Now adays they say that 40 is the new 30 so really you are going into your 30's again! I think age is all in your mind and attitude, always think young and take care of yourself. YOu look great! Enjoy every year and have a great day! My daughter is at the end of her pregnancy too! She is having a boy, due at the end of Feb. His name will be Blake.

Happy Birthday, Ai!!! Having turned 60 in November, I've learned that the age doesn't matter...it's the attitude! You may have turned 40 but you are entering into an exciting time with your growing family. For this birthday I wish you a loving family, loving friends, health, passion, and the love of life! Happy Birthday my friend!!

Happy Birthday! 30's to 40's isn't as big a step as leaving your 20's except it gets harder to lose weight than ever before, not that you have to worry about that.

Thanks so much Joan and Julie. You make me smile.

So happy to see a peek at your pregnant belly. You aren't that big. Just nice and healthy looking. So good to see both you and Tone with Iris. Tell her she did a really good job on her drawing. Is she excited about a sister?

Happy belated birthday, Ai. Ah, the years, they come and go. The gifts they bring you, you get to keep. Age, wisdom, artistic skill. Once again, happy birthday, and may your fortieth year bring you great treasure.

Happy Birthday, that's how old I was when I had my one and only son, kept me young. He and his wife just gave me a beautiful grandson...

Jeanne, thank you very much, yes, Iris is very excited about the new baby. It is gonna be quite hectic in late March and then on but that should bring us lots of smiles.

Ai,

So sorry I missed your birthday. Ah, 40 is just a number. You are as young as you feel. I'm coming up on 49, but my mind feels like a 20 year old. Just keep on doing what you're doing... you look fine, you glow, you're healthy and a new baby on the way. All the best to you and many more happy birthdays to come! :)
