Blue gas masks

No..!!!  . This is not a scene from "Planet of the Ape".  It was our kids this morning being treated with vapor medicine for their respiratory infection at the hospital. They are doing better now. I did the ink at scene under the rolling eye nurse, about 3 min. for each kid. I later colored them at home.

2012 New Year Resolution

I have been using mind-maps (computer generated ones) lately in my class to teach. Today I feel that combining Scavenger Hunt#251 life sketching with my personal mind-map should be a good play. So here it is. I wish you a great 2012 year and you achieve what you have been waiting for.

Fruit & Veggie Medley

I love to sketch stuffs from the kitchen. I find going to the market and buying these models home an absolute art-life-rewarding. The sketches contain, two peppers, a tomato, an orange, and a pink dragon fruit.

The eighteen month baby.

Well, I try to record Miss Lily. She will turn eighteen month in a few days. She is a big baby, husky like a Ukranian weight lifter, and can be very loud and ruthless. Luckily today she was having a nap that I can sneak in a sketch of her mighty legs.

#31 World-Wide SketchCrawl

Today, I went SketchCrawl at Birmingham Botanical garden. They have an amazing Japanese garden there. These are done in a 2-page spread inside my Moleskin watercolor sketchbook with Daniel Smith watercolors & ink.

A mother's love

This was a scene at the tree restaurant where a mother was cradling her young baby at her outdoor dining table. I had to put this down in my sketchbook today.

WorldWideSketchCrawl

I did have a great sketching out today. I did meet two more SketchCrawlers today: K.Asnee and K.Pramote. So Bangkok WorldWideSketchCrawl will never be the same... Yeah.

I started my SketchCrawl solo in the early morning by doing the outside scences of Temple at Wat Pho, a famous Bangkok attraction. Later I moved inside the temple to do the reclining Buddha. Later I met up with the two more Crawlers mentioned above.

#1 Me, with my first sketch of the day. I had attracted several of bystanders who tried to chat with me while I was sketching including 2 kids ;-)

#2 Two new crawlers, from Left K.Pramote, K.Asnee, and me.

#3 -- Thai temples at Wat-Pho

#4 -- Another pagoda scene at Wat-Pho

#5 -- I did the head part of the giant reclining Buddha.

#6 -- I try to establish the scale of the giant reclining Buddha by sketching one tourist posing for a photo in the middle.
