Iris -- Plein air

These are watercolor plein air postcards. I painted these from the garage floor of my sister-in-law's neighbor during our visit to Atlanta in April. The garden was so full of life. The Iris there were just blooming at their best. I feel fortunate to get to record these babies.

Oh, Ai!!!! I love these, and in plein air! You did a great job on these. Both are beautiful, but I really love the colors in the second one. Good work!

Ai, these are stunning. You have such a beautiful hand with watercolor. What a treasure you are! On a personal note......Dianne and I spent the afternoon lounging in her new pool. I finally got the little gift you sent me. I am overcome with emotion. I will treasure it always and already am thinking how I am going to frame it and where it will be placed. I know she's had it for some time but kept forgetting to give it to me. I think today was the right time as it's been a difficult time for me and today it's bright red blossom brought me such joy! Lots of hugs and thank yous!!!! your friend, Marta

Joan: Thank you very much for your kind words. Now I have to look for other kind flowers to do plein air in Thailand. I do miss seeing American Iris.

Marta: You are very welcome. Your blog is very inspiring to me. I'm glad the card bring you joy.
