For some reason, I felt great painting this one. Every thing came out well together control but loose. It was kind of zen- like for me to be able to execute things in a few brushstrokes and not get into a disaster but rather a pleasant result. This one went to an art friend in Oklahoma, USA.

A watercolor ATC size from a ref. image on Flickr by Gailf548. Late January, I sign up another art card exchange project called "25VarietyOf?". I decide to do 25 cards of Iris flower. I love gardening and Iris is one of my favorite flowers and I also name my daughter after it. Since January, I little by little get 10 cards done and delivered so far. This is the first one of the series with the most vibrant and bang. I put all my effort equally to all the cards but for some reason, I feel that this one is not just the first to kick of this project but also release the most of my art energy. This one went to my friend, Rose in Florida. I hope i can keep up my art energy through out this series.

Going to America...

Yes, my art cards are... not me. I just came back from dropping Tone and Iris for USA. trip at the airport. Iris is a world - traveler trooper, fluently dragging her pink "Fabi Girl" roller suitcase around the international airport. She is 3.8 year old, and this morning is her 4th trip to the US.!!! What did I do when I was her age ??? ... Yes, I will be home alone for three weeks. So I guess I will have plenty of time to paint, and cleaning the house. I have some Univ. business to attend to and cannot take a long leave abroad this year. I will take a four day painting trip to an island in the middle of the Gulf of Thailand next week though. In the mean while, Tone will be helping me mailing these art cards out from his home in the US. to 9 US. and 1 Canadian destinations. Enjoy the sneak peek at them.

Pepper#2

This is a life-drawing ATC size using acrylic ink on a 140 lb Winsor Newton watercolor paper. It was sent to a Wetcanvas member in New Zealand. I still have another one in the same series traveling somewhere to the USA. It was fun to try doing more work in acrylic ink. I am still new to it.

Happy marriage

This is a watercolor ATC (2.5x3.5) as a part of "So thankful for" art project on Wetcanvas.com. I have to dedicate my art journey to Tone. He sure is not just a wind-beneath-my-wing but rather a tornado-F5-beneath-my-wing to me. He appreciates art and appreciates me and so supports me to do art. I could not come this far in art without him. Thanks a bunch my dear Tone.

It has been quite a busy month and a few tough times. I am glad Tone, I, and the baby got through it OK. I did a few small works but did not post then. So I post them now.
